Alternative Investments Product Analyst Alternative Investments Product Team Full-time Boston MA The Opportunity As an Alternative Investments Product Analyst you will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders—including fund sponsors, alternative fintech platforms, operations teams, and financial advisors—to support a broad range of alternative investment offerings. The Team The Alternatives Product team’s mission is to empower advisor practices, agencies, and MassMutual to succeed in the high-net-worth space by providing open architecture solutions and specialized expertise. We are dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial goals and transition wealth through informed investing. The Impact The Alternatives platform is a key growth area for MassMutual. With the addition of this role, we are continuing to scale our capabilities and enhance support for advisors accessing alternative investment solutions. This role plays a critical part in improving adoption, advisor experience, and operational execution across a complex and evolving product set. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist financial advisors with the implementation of alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, exchange funds, and other specialized offerings as part of broader client portfolios Support product education and provide insights to advisors, helping connect alternative investment strategies to client goals and market conditions Enhance and develop educational resources to ensure advisors are equipped with up-to-date knowledge on offerings, platforms, and processes Partner with operations, compliance, and internal teams to support smooth and efficient onboarding, subscription, and servicing processes Respond to advisor inquiries related to alternative investments, including product capabilities, use cases, and operational workflows Leverage technology to drive process efficiencies and improve team workflows Apply portfolio management concepts to help advisors understand how alternative investments fit within broader financial plans The Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 2+ years of experience with investment solutions in the insurance/financial services industry and/or within financial institutions. Series 7 at time of application or within 90 days of start date The Ideal Qualifications 1+ years’ experience with more complex investment solutions such as alternative investments (Private Equity, Private Credit, Hedge Funds, etc.) Effective at building relationships across internal teams and with financial advisors Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced wealth management or broker‑dealer environment Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally What You Can Expect at MassMutual MassMutual offers the opportunity to do meaningful work within a purpose‑driven organization that values long‑term impact over short‑term outcomes.
