We invite you to join us as a Senior Staff Manufacturing Engineer for the F‑35 Lightning II Center Wing Production Engineering team, where you will help advance production efficiency and guide a pivotal part of the build process.

Responsibilities Production Floor Support: Provide on‑the‑spot assistance to resolve production issues, ensuring uninterrupted product flow. Corrective Action Development: Design and implement corrective actions to reduce Scrap, Rework, and Repair (SRR) rates and decrease Hours Per Unit (HPU). Manufacturing Plan Updates: Update and improve the Manufacturing Plan to integrate new technologies and reduce defect rates.

Engineering Change Evaluations: Assess engineering modifications to ensure alignment with production capabilities and efficient implementation. Technical Production Support: Offer technical expertise to Production Operations, supporting mechanics and team members for smooth operation. Cost Reduction Initiatives: Lead initiatives focused on product span optimization and cost reduction to enhance profitability.

Manufacturing Engineering Duties: Execute key tasks such as Tool Trial Runs, Work‑Around Plans, and Supplemental Tool Design to support and refine the manufacturing process. Second shift operations. Benefits Three day weekends every weekend.

Experience resolving engineering, production, tooling & assembly issues. Aircraft structural assembly and technical requirements experience. Experience reading engineering blueprints.

Desired Skills Manufacturing Engineering Experience or Support Roles (IE, QE, MRB) on F‑35 Joint Strike Fighter or similar military fighter jets. Problem solving skills – demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex, large‑scale technical issues. Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and cross‑functional teams. AutoCAD or Catia V5 experience. Experience with additive manufacturing (e.g., 3D printing).

Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including working knowledge of GD&T. Ability to work well in a diverse team environment. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams).
