Position Summary The IT Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts. This role manages multiple concurrent projects ranging from small to moderate scale with varying complexity, scope, and system impact. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to established quality standards and ISSM expectations.

This individual will oversee project execution from initiation through final business acceptance and implementation. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution (25%) Develop and manage project plans, risk management plans, and project documentation from initiation through post-implementation. Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, within budget, and according to organizational standards.

Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to achieve objectives. Resource & Budget Management (20%) Identify factors affecting project scope, budget, risk, and resource allocation. Monitor staffing requirements based on project specifications.

Ensure effective utilization of project resources while managing budgeted hours. Communication & Reporting (20%) Develop, execute, and maintain project communication plans. Facilitate communication among stakeholders, project teams, and leadership.

Prepare and deliver status reports, meeting summaries, and project documentation. Issue & Risk Management (20%) Identify and manage project issues and risks throughout the project lifecycle. Escalate functional, quality, and timeline concerns appropriately.

Communicate scope changes and business impacts to senior leadership and stakeholders. Compliance & Documentation (15%) Ensure all work efforts maintain proper audit documentation. Adhere to ISSM project methodology standards and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree, OR 4 years of job-related work experience, OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an Associate’s Degree in any field. Required Experience Minimum 5 years of IT experience in a leadership role. Minimum 2 years leading two or more concurrent project teams.

Required Skills Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

Advanced organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Experience managing project scope, budget, timelines, and resources. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and business processes.

Ability to manage projects through the full project lifecycle. Required Tools & Technologies Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with project management tools and documentation systems.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. PMP Certification (preferred). Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Experience with CMMI-DEV and Earned Value Management (EVM). Healthcare IT project management experience, including Medicare/Medicaid environments. Additional certifications such as CAPM, Scrum Master, or SAFe Agile Certification.

Proficiency with Microsoft Project and schedule management. Additional Requirements No subcontractor candidates. No sponsorship available now or in the future.

Credit check required during pre-screening. Candidates must meet U.S. residency requirements for government contract compliance: Foreign nationals must have resided in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years prior to assignment. Work Environment Fast-paced and dynamic environment requiring flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities.
