Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Sales Manager role located in Bedford, NS. Qualifications Strong sales, business development, and relationship management skills Experience in strategic planning, market analysis, and contract negotiation Leadership abilities to manage, mentor, and guide a team effectively Proficiency in customer service and client communications Knowledge of the seafood or food distribution industry Responsibilities Lead and supervise the retail sales team, including recruiting, training, and developing staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer interactions. Oversee daily store operations, including merchandising, pricing strategies, inventory purchasing, and POS system management.

Manage store budgets, perform bookkeeping tasks, and handle cash transactions with accuracy and integrity. Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and enhance brand visibility within the community. Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data for trends, and adjust tactics accordingly to meet or exceed sales targets.

Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean, organized store environment. Handle customer service issues promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled team aligned with company values.

Oversee administrative functions such as payroll processing, scheduling, and record keeping. Lead by example in demonstrating excellent phone etiquette, communication skills, and professional appearance. Experience Proven experience in retail sales management or store management roles.

Demonstrated leadership abilities with supervising experience in a retail workplace. Strong background in merchandising, pricing strategies, POS systems, purchasing, and cash handling. Excellent negotiation skills with experience in marketing, budgeting, and financial oversight.

Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Skilled in training and development programs aimed at enhancing team performance. Proficient in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, organizational skills, time management, and math skills necessary for sales analysis.
