Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Principal Engineer role based in Winnipeg, MB. The Principal Engineer will lead the design, architecture, and development of cutting-edge solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. They will mentor engineering teams, establish best practices, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical and business goals. Responsibilities also include creating and maintaining system architecture, overseeing development processes, and driving innovation in alignment with Bobo’s mission to improve pediatric care.

Qualifications Proven expertise in software architecture, scalable system design, and cloud-native technologies Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks Experience in database management systems and optimizing data storage/retrieval Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring engineering teams and driving development processes Understanding of security best practices and experience ensuring compliance in software systems Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven technical decisions Proactive communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across diverse teams Experience in health tech, AI-driven solutions, or mobile application development is a plus Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
