About the Opportunity - Infrastructure Engineer - Hiring Immediately Vinetra Talent has partnered with a modern SaaS platform built for K-12 education across Canada. As they approach full production rollout, we are expanding the platform engineering team and hiring for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer who thrives on driving operational excellence, reliability, security, and cloud cost optimization. Important Context: This role focuses heavily on maintaining, optimizing, and supporting an already established infrastructure environment across both modern and legacy systems.

The Infrastructure Architecture Core Platform Engine: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Docker, Kubernetes Administration, Helm charts.

Provisioning & Delivery: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, GitOps release automation. Observability Architecture: Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic performance monitoring, centralized logging. Identity & Enterprise Systems: Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace migrations, SSO, OAuth, OIDC authentication workflows.

What You Will Do Operationalize & Refine: Enhance existing cloud-native infrastructure, improve deployment reliability, and optimize cloud configurations for maximum cost efficiency. Systems Observability: Build out comprehensive monitoring, metrics, and alerting pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic to streamline root-cause analysis. Secure the Perimeter: Enforce IAM least-privilege access, manage network policies, configure load balancers/ingress controllers, and handle secure secret management.

Support Enterprise Identity: Assist with identity access workflows, authentication security, and the ongoing migration of internal operations to Google Workspace. What We Are Looking For Production Cloud Infrastructure: Extensive experience managing live production cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform as your primary IaC tool. Advanced Kubernetes: Deep practical experience with production-grade Kubernetes administration, scaling, and Helm chart deployment management.

Core Networking & Security: Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, VPC management, VPNs, ingress controllers) and a strong understanding of cloud security best practices. Systems Mindset: A proactive professional comfortable balancing long-term strategic automation with day-to-day platform troubleshooting and support.
