Overview Location: New York, NY Employment Type: Full-Time Estimated Compensation: $140,000 β $185,000 total annual compensation (varies by employer) Position Overview Senior Fund Analysts support investment and fund management teams by performing in-depth analysis of fund performance, portfolio allocations, and risk exposures. The role blends quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and strategic insights to guide investment decisions and fund operations. Analysts collaborate closely with portfolio managers, operations teams, and senior leadership to monitor fund performance, optimize allocations, and provide actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities Analyze fund performance, including returns, fees, and benchmarking against peers and indices Conduct due diligence on fund investments, portfolio holdings, and underlying managers Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and performance attribution reports Monitor liquidity, risk exposures, and compliance metrics across funds Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for senior management and investment committees Build and maintain dashboards, data visualizations, and analytical tools to track fund performance Identify areas for operational or strategic improvement within fund portfolios Collaborate with investment, finance, and operations teams to ensure data integrity and timely reporting Qualifications Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA is a plus Strong understanding of fund structures, investment products, and portfolio management concepts Experience or coursework in fund analysis, private capital, or investment operations preferred Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or other analytical tools is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Interest in fund strategy, performance optimization, and investment analysis #J-18808-Ljbffr
