Base Location: Glasgow or Perth Salary: £66,100 – £99,100 (subject to experience) + car / car allowance + performance‑related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing, and family. Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available The role Lead Procurement and Commercial Manager to support SSE Renewables Offshore Development team in delivering the Berwick Bank Phase B project. Requires pre‑ and post‑contract experience of high‑value and complex offshore wind contracts.

As Lead Procurement and Commercial Manager for Berwick Bank Phase B you will be responsible for negotiating and delivering commercial contracts that underpin SSE’s ambitious project. You will collaborate across a range of stakeholders, manage complex contracts, supplier relationships, and ensure alignment with project goals and corporate objectives. You will Develop and deliver strategic procurement solutions for offshore wind, aligning commercial outcomes with SSE’s long‑term objectives and value commitments.

Build and manage high‑value supplier partnerships, driving performance, accountability, and mutual commercial success. Lead, coach, and empower a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous development. Own end‑to‑end commercial activities, including contract negotiation, optimisation of terms, and proactive risk management to protect value.

Drive cost competitiveness and value creation, identifying efficiencies and strengthening commercial performance across procurement activities. Collaborate with key stakeholders and project teams, using data‑led insights to inform decisions, optimise delivery, and support successful project outcomes. You have An understanding of offshore wind markets, contracting models, regional dynamics, commodities, and service requirements, supporting the development of robust early‑stage business cases through to fully negotiated contracts at construction.

Procurement or Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent direct entry to a recognised professional body preferred. Experience in a similar role where you led a team, procured, and managed highly complex contracts, suppliers and sub‑contractors, and handled supplier vetting, development, and management. Understanding of supply chain concepts and how to improve them.
