Head of Engineering

Overview I’m currently partnered with a venture-backed deep‑tech startup developing next‑generation quantum imaging and photonic computing technologies for aerospace, defense, and advanced sensing applications. The company is looking for a Head of Engineering to become the operational backbone of a rapidly scaling engineering organization working on highly cutting‑edge hardware systems at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, optics, systems, and software disciplines. Key Responsibilities Drive engineering execution and operational cadence.

Coordinate optics, software, electrical, mechanical, and systems teams. Oversee complex technical programs and deliverables. Support scaling of the engineering organization and hiring efforts.

Manage vendor, manufacturing, and infrastructure coordination. Partner closely with executive leadership on long‑term growth strategy. Ideal Background Engineering leadership experience within deep‑tech environments.

Experience in aerospace, defense, photonics, optics, semiconductor, robotics, or advanced sensing. Strong program management and organizational leadership skills. Experience operating within highly technical, fast‑paced environments.
