The Customer Success Engineer (CSE) plays a mission-critical role at the intersection of technology, business impact, and customer growth.

As a CSE, you are not just supporting adoption, you are leading the charge to ensure customers unlock the full strategic value of our client's platform. You become a trusted technical advisor and product champion, guiding some of the world's most innovative companies as they secure their most sensitive data assets in the cloud. In this high-visibility role, you'll work directly with both engineering teams and executive stakeholders to align our client's solutions with customer objectives and measurable business outcomes.

Your success is reflected in customer success, measured by adoption, expansion, and long-term partnerships. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering to advocate for customer needs and influence product direction. This is not a narrow support role, and it is not a traditional SRE position.

It is a hybrid startup role for someone equally comfortable in customer conversations, architecture discussions, technical troubleshooting, executive readouts, and cross-functional internal collaboration. What You'll Do Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers from evaluation and onboarding through adoption, expansion, and long-term success Design and communicate practical solution approaches across cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure and others.

Guide customers through implementation planning, deployment discussions, architecture reviews, and technical validation Run product demos, deep dives, workshops, and customer readouts for technical, security, and executive stakeholders Help customers translate platform findings into concrete actions, operational workflows, and measurable business value Build strong relationships with champions, admins, security leaders, data teams, and executive stakeholders Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success as the voice of the customer Identify recurring field patterns, product gaps, friction points, and opportunities for roadmap improvement This role sits at the intersection of solutions architecture, customer success, technical advisory, and product feedback. Create high-quality customer-facing and internal assets such as implementation guides, architecture diagrams, best-practice documents, playbooks, executive summaries, and technical responses Monitor account health, adoption signals, and implementation risks, and proactively drive resolution where needed Support pilots, proof-of-value exercises, production rollouts, and expansion opportunities Help standardize repeatable playbooks, skills, and scalable processes as Theom grows. Who You Are / Must-Haves Educational background in Computer Science 3 - 6 years experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Customer Success Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or a similar hybrid role Excellent communicator and relationship builder, able to manage expectations, listen with empathy, and engage both technical and executive stakeholders.

Experience with Observability, Security, and IT Operations, including managing data pipelines across the full lifecycle (logs, metrics, etc.). Proven track record of driving product adoption and uncovering new use cases to deliver measurable customer value. Hands-on familiarity with at least some of the following: Snowflake , Databricks , AWS , Azure, data lakes, data warehouses, IAM , cloud security, governance, analytics platforms, or related enterprise data infrastructure Good understanding of modern cloud and SaaS architectures Staying abreast of various developments in AI and how enterprises adopt these technologies Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across APIs, integrations, identity and access patterns, and cloud platform behaviors Comfort working with SQL , technical logs, APIs , architecture diagrams, and implementation details Ability to connect technical detail to customer outcomes and business impact Bonus Points / Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with modern data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks Familiarity with enterprise-grade data security and governance tools Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services across AWS, Azure, or GCP Strong technical acumen with a focus on customer engagement and post-sales success Passionate about customer interaction and solving real-world challenges Comfortable and productive in a remote work environment System Reliability and Scalability: Improve the availability, performance, scalability , and maintainability of production applications.

This involves implementing best practices for site reliability engineering to minimize downtime and enhance system efficiency. Problem-Solving: Solve complex problems in advanced Network Analytics services , distributed systems , and a multi-tenant Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment operating at massive scale. The ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a large-scale, distributed environment is critical.

Database Management: Possess experience with various database technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Snowflake , and Databricks . This experience is necessary for managing and securing data stored in different database systems. Containerization and Orchestration: Have hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes .

These skills are vital for deploying, managing, and scaling applications efficiently. Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud technologies is a must, particularly with major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , and Azure . This includes understanding and implementing cloud-native security measures and services.
