Mecaer America Inc. (MAI onwards), located in Laval, is an international provider of landing gear solutions for the helicopter business and aviation markets in general. Thanks to our certified expertise, we are a trusted partner for several customers worldwide including Bell Helicopter Textron, AgustaWestland, Safran Landing System, Collins Aerospace Systems (formerly UTAS / Goodrich) and Airbus Helicopters. Due to the nature of its products, MAI is subjected to Federal Controlled Goods (CGP) program. MRB Engineer Job Description MRB engineering will be required to coordinate across many functional areas including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Supplier Quality, Material Planning, Functional Test, Collateral and Systems engineering groups, Safety, and Process engineers. This will often include coordinating directly with suppliers and customers. Key responsibilities • Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities- reviewing, dispositioning, and resolving defects and nonconforming conditions in complex electrical, mechanical, and optical assemblies. • Documenting and determining if abnormalities are related to engineering issues and ensuring that cross functional team validates that corrections/rework will not negatively affect the functionality ofsystems. • Establish turnaround times, coordinate meetings, and lead initiatives to ensure timely disposition of MRB materials. Escalate as required. • Establish and publish pertinent Dashboards and analytical reports. • Work closely with the production floor and supply chain, support process improvements, and coordinate lessons learned and corrective action. • Ensures compliance with existing MRB/Quality procedures and/or process control documentation, and train team members, as necessary. • Providing onsite technical support, including interpretation of Engineering drawings, specifications, test procedures, and other systems related documents. • Facilitate improvement initiatives/projects to improve quality related metrics. • Compile data and write analytical reports regarding existing or potential nonconformance studies or projects. Champion incorporating best practices into current and future application. • Utilizes PPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, and Control Plans) to identify and make recommendations for managing risk in internal and supplied products. • Support internal, customer, and third-party regulatory audits, review and implementation of engineering change orders, any specifics tasks from department manager. • Any other tasks given by management.

Skills • Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, technical specifications & test requirements, analyze complex assembly configurations and assess their compliance with the design configuration. • General knowledge of materials used in aeronautics. • Knowledge of aeronautical manufacturing, assembly and testing processes is essential. • Good working knowledge of computer systems, MS Office® suit, etc. • Excellent sense of communication, liaison between the customer and our suppliers. • English and French spoken and written fluently. • Good communication skills. • Structure and organization in the workplace. • Attention to details and an excellent sense of observation. Qualification / Experience Required: • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
