Job Description
The Role Permanent Full Time Key Responsibilities Perform conventional machining operations such as turning, milling and drilling using various lathes, CNC machines and conventional machines to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies. Ensure workflow procedures are followed. Record all data necessary to produce and expected service and/or design results including sizes and illustrations.
Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment. Perform metal spraying techniques as needed. Understand materials and applications as required.
Set up and perform tool‑post grinding operations (e.g., precision surface facing), broaching procedures, and Babbitt bearing work. Perform various welding operations, including setup and use of MIG, TIG, torch and stick welders. Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions.
Use various hand‑held and stationary power and non‑power tools, including but not limited to band saw, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc. Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues. Promote a culture of working safely as routine.
