Job Description
Manager - Thermal – Range development – Tuning Build and Achieve QCT objectives of Tuning adaptation and validation of Projects and Serial life, under the delegation of Thermal Tuning Manager o Compliance with Entry Ticket (TEI), Regulations and Métier rules o By piloting the activities of PTE ( PWT & Thermal Engineering - Function and ensuring convergence with other métiers (Eg: SW / PWT calibration / PWT Design ) to achieve expected milestones o Build coherence between Technical definition and Economic constraints of the project o ASMd signs by delegation the EQM (Métier Quality Engagement) of the project Fields of action: Perimeter: Current / Future Ind EV/HEV/ ICE PWT’s – Thermal / HVAC Function. Geographical perimeter: India & other countries Vehicle / PWT are exported. Technical perimeter: PTE (PWT & Thermal Engineering, Inter-system / Architectural operations, Product safety, Regulation compliance, Design, ANPQP, Development and validation Time perimeter: Pre-project for upstream framing à Project and Serial life Key Decision Meetings: Project committees, Expense Committee, RAP (Project Review), COMODIF (Modification review) .
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Describe the major accountabilities that this job is expected to deliver · Deliverables -Technical definition and NDL finalization -QCT planning (Quality, Cost, Timeline and Tuning scope) -Resource planning – People, Prototypes, Tests, External Facilities -Economic and Technical scoreboard -Drive & Ensure QCT of Tuning adaptation and validation in-coherence with other metiers like Performance, Design, Test -Review deliveries of Project pilots (Tuning pilot, validation pilot, SW Proj leader etc..) & their EQMs (Metier Quality Engagement), to finalise ASMd EQM for every milestone, covering Check-list, (Renault Internal Process / methods à GRP, ANPQP, NRL, MATRIX EICPS x components) -Synthesis of Calibration MAP and engine controller -Calibration maturity review at different milestones -Review COCA (Carry-over and Carry-across) plan vs actual and Metier rules Indicators: -Respect Novelty / Carry-Over - Respect QCT targets 8. Do not state incumbent-specific information EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS § Preference : Graduation in Engineering ( Mechanical / Automobile / Mechatronics ) Or other Engg stream but with relevant experience as indicated below RELEVANT EXPERIENCE § Minimum 12- 15 years of experience in HVAC / Thernal Development on Control system domain.
Vehicle integration of InterSystems ( HVAC / Thermal ) § Tier 1 supplier experience preferred in domain of : HVAc/ Thermal control system development , Range development , Cabin HVAC behaviour , Coolant loop architecture etc,, § Deep understanding & working experience of : waste heat utilization , -E-Motor , inverter cooling Batt thermal management , Cabin comfort vs energy consumption , energy flow analysis etc… § Deep knowledge & Strategically strong with problem solving skills for project execution à SOC consumption analysis , Auxiliary load optimization , Drive cycle eff tuning etc… § Knowledge about PWT / Vehicle Development process, Functionalities and Customer expectations
