Our client, a global entertainment company, is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join their team in Los Angeles, CA . This role will support payroll operations during a critical Oracle testing period and assist with payroll processing, SAP payroll adjustments, employee garnishments, reporting, and special payroll-related projects in a fast-paced enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience working in large company payroll operations, and the ability to manage competing deadlines with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
This is a fully onsite role supporting a large-scale, multi-state union and non-union payroll environment. Onsite: Los Angeles, CA Contract: 7- months (possibility of extension) Pay Rate: 46/hr. Responsibilities Process multi-frequency union and non-union payrolls accurately and on time Perform SAP payroll adjustments, payroll data entries, and schedule updates Audit and reconcile HR/payroll data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy Handle employee garnishments and ensure compliance with payroll regulations Reconcile payroll integration and bank files Support Oracle testing initiatives and payroll-related projects with strict deadlines Generate ad hoc payroll reports for internal stakeholders Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams Assist with system testing, tax updates, and process improvement initiatives Required Qualifications 3+ years of payroll experience in a large company environment Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and formulas Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Experience managing deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll processes Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee data Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or another major HCM/payroll system Experience processing union payrolls in a multi-state environment Experience supporting payroll-related system implementations or testing initiatives
