Data Analysis - Team Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data lead to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven problem solver with a passion for uncovering insights that drive strategic business decisions. This role will involve working with large, complex datasets, creating compelling visualizations, and effectively communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The team lead will play a key role in mentoring data analysts and contributing to the development of our data analytics capabilities. Key Responsibilities: ● Data Extraction & Preparation: ○ Ability to write, execute, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL scripts ○ Extract, clean, transform, and validate data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, flat files) using SQL OR other relevant tools. ○ Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data integrity for analysis. ● Reporting & Visualization: ○ Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar. ○ Present complex data in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner for various stakeholders. ○ Automate reporting processes where possible to improve efficiency. ● Business Acumen & Communication: ○ Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations for stakeholders across different departments (e.g., Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance). ○ Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their analytical needs and define key performance indicators (KPIs). ○ Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership and cross functional teams. ○ Act as a subject matter expert on data and analytics for relevant business areas. ● Mentorship & Leadership: ○ Mentor and guide junior data analysts, sharing best practices and fostering their professional development. ○ Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis processes, methodologies, and tools within the team. ○ Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and data science. Qualifications: ● Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.. ● (6+) years of progressive experience as a Data Analyst, with a significant portion in a senior role. ● Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation. ● Proven experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). ● Experience with large datasets and data warehousing concepts. ● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. ● Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. ● Ability to guide the team and mentor them on the design and implementation Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points): ● Prior experience working with Google and plx environment ● Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP) and big data technologies ● Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
