Title: Financial Analyst โ FP&A Systems lead COMPENSATION: $90-115k OVERVIEW: FP&A Systems Lead We are seeking a technically curious analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team as Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A Systems Lead. This role sits within the FP&A analyst team and carries a dual purpose: contributing meaningfully to financial planning, analysis, and reporting cycles while serving as the internal IBM Planning Analytics systems lead for the FP&A function. This role will do financial analysis work โ supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting โ while also serving as the FP&A team's primary point of contact for IBM Planning Analytics system administration, user support, and platform readiness.
You will partner closely with the Manager, Financial Systems & BI for technical escalation and architectural guidance, and work alongside your FP&A analyst peers to keep the system running smoothly for the entire organization. Support the Manager, FP&A across planning, forecasting, and financial analysis cycles โ contributing to the annual business plan, rolling forecasts, and Strategic Plan as assigned Build and maintain financial models in Excel and IBM Planning Analytics โ supporting variance analysis, management reporting, and ad hoc analytical requests Prepare financial reporting materials for senior leadership, operating reviews, and Board of Directors meetings as directed by the Manager, FP&A Support cross-functional analysis alongside the Sr FA โ Corporate and Sr FA โ Operations โ bringing systems perspective to planning and reporting work Contribute to proactive financial analysis โ identifying trends, surfacing risks, and building analytical tools that improve the team's planning accuracy Serve as the FP&A team's primary IBM Planning Analytics super user โ the first point of contact for user questions, access issues, and system support requests from finance and operational users Add new users and assign security access as help desk tickets are received โ managing provisioning within established security model guidelines Conduct quarterly user license reviews to ensure compliance with license counts, coordinating with area controllers and reporting results to the Manager, Financial Systems & BI Maintain the IBM Planning Analytics Business Administration Guide โ keeping documentation current as configurations, processes, and security models evolve Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related field 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis โ with hands-on work in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, or management reporting Demonstrated experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) as an end user or power user โ including PAW, PAfE (Excel add-in), and familiarity with planning workflows Strong Excel modeling skills โ able to build financial models and analytical tools from scratch Detail-oriented with genuine documentation discipline โ maintaining accurate system documentation is a core expectation of this role, not an afterthought Strong communicator โ able to translate system and process information clearly for non-technical finance users and operational stakeholders Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Microsoft Copilot) as a productivity multiplier for analysis, documentation, and problem-solving Experience with IBM Planning Analytics system administration โ user provisioning, security groups, application groups, workbook roll-forwards, or chore management Exposure to TurboIntegrator (TI) processes, Rules files, or MDX at a power-user level โ enough to read and understand existing processes, not necessarily to author new ones from scratch Familiarity with Oracle ERP as a data source for financial reporting Experience working with Power BI dashboards as an end user Experience in mining, construction, aggregates, manufacturing, or project-based industries IBM Planning Analytics certification or coursework Progress toward CPA, CMA, or related certification #J-18808-Ljbffr
