Title: Accounting Manager Compensation: $65-$85/hr, depending on experience Type: Contract Location: San Diego, CA- (Hybrid 3 days/week in office) Responsibilities Lead daily accounting operations, including month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting support Review accounting documentation and schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies Supervise and develop a small accounting team, providing mentorship, direction, and performance support Assist with integration activities related to acquisitions and support efforts to standardize accounting processes across entities Collaborate with finance, operations, and cross-functional teams to address accounting matters and support business objectives Help improve operational efficiency and maintain consistency within a highly manual ERP environment Analyze financial data and identify opportunities for process improvements and stronger internal controls Ensure deadlines and deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA designation preferred Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and month-end close procedures Previous experience leading or supervising accounting staff Experience reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting documentation Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Strong analytical mindset with the ability to problem‑solve in a fast‑changing environment Experience with acquisition integrations, ERP transitions, or accounting process improvement initiatives is a plus Ability to balance hands‑on accounting responsibilities with broader operational and strategic initiatives Estimated Min Rate : $60.00 Estimated Max Rate : $80.00 Benefits Medical, Prescription, Dental & Vision Benefits (for employees working 20+ hours per week) Health Savings Account (HSA) (for employees working 20+ hours per week) Life & Disability Insurance (for employees working 20+ hours per week) MetLife Voluntary Benefits Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401K Retirement Savings Plan Direct Deposit & weekly epayroll Referral Bonus Programs Certification and training opportunities Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
