The salary range presented above is based on a 35âhour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well. About the role Nous cherchons un ingĂ©nieur en recherche de cause incendie pour notre Service de lâindemnisation.
La personne retenue jouera un rĂŽle essentiel dans le soutien de notre croissance. Dans le cadre de ses efforts continus pour mieux contrĂŽler la gestion des rĂ©clamations et amĂ©liorer lâexpĂ©rience des assurĂ©s lors de sinistres, Intact bĂątit une Ă©quipe interne de premier plan en investigation technique de cause et dâorigine de sinistre. En tant quâingĂ©nieur, vous serez donc appelĂ© quotidiennement Ă : Aider lâĂ©quipe dâindemnisation Ă guider rapidement et efficacement le processus de rĂšglement des rĂ©clamations liĂ©es aux incendies.
Effectuer les mandats pour nos experts internes et nos experts externes et travailler en collaboration avec les Ă©valuateurs en bĂątiment. Rencontrer les assurĂ©s et bien comprendre les circonstances entourant leur rĂ©clamation. Vous devrez investiguer sur les sites des sinistres afin dâĂ©tablir la cause et les circonstances des incendies.
VĂ©rifier sâil sâagit dâune explosion, dâune dĂ©faillance Ă©lectrique dâĂ©quipement, de fautes professionnelles ou autre. Documenter les lieux, Ă©mettre et consigner votre opinion quant Ă la cause probable des dommages. En plus de consigner votre opinion par Ă©crit, vous serez aussi appelĂ© Ă intervenir pour contribuer Ă la rĂ©solution de conflits en cours de rĂ©clamation en apportant votre expertise technique.
Participer Ă des expertises communes de piĂšces et de spĂ©cimens en lien avec la cause des sinistres. Consigner et gĂ©rer lâentreposage des piĂšces reliĂ©es Ă vos dossiers. Toute autre tĂąche connexe.
Ce que vous mettez Ă profit : Connaissances recherchĂ©es : Le travail dâinvestigation demande une connaissance poussĂ©e des bĂątiments, des mĂ©thodes de construction, des modes de transferts thermiques et des lois rĂ©gissant la propagation des incendies. Par un processus dâenquĂȘte et de recherche, vous aurez Ă comprendre et identifier lâĂ©lĂ©ment causal du dommage et Ă Ă©liminer les autres causes possibles. Vous aurez ainsi Ă recrĂ©er la sĂ©quence des Ă©vĂ©nements qui a menĂ© au sinistre et Ă valider ces Ă©tapes avec les connaissances scientifiques Ă jour.
En validant les hypothĂšses et en testant au besoin les scĂ©narios sous Ă©tude, vous appliquerez la mĂ©thode scientifique Ă lâidentification des causes de sinistres. Un baccalaurĂ©at en gĂ©nie Ă©lectrique, en gĂ©nie mĂ©canique ou en sciences appliquĂ©es pertinentes avec au moins cinq ans dâexpĂ©rience est requis. Ătre un membre en rĂšgle dâun ordre professionnel reliĂ© au domaine scientifique pertinent est requis. Bilingue (Français; Anglais) â nĂ©cessitĂ© dâinteragir sur une base rĂ©guliĂšre avec des collĂšgues partout au pays CompĂ©tences recherchĂ©es : Entre 2 et 10 ans dâexpĂ©rience pertinente comme ingĂ©nieur forensique en recherche de lâorigine et des causes dâincendie.
En plus des connaissances techniques et des aptitudes physiques requises pour le poste, vous devrez communiquer avec aisance tant Ă lâoral quâĂ lâĂ©crit pour la vulgarisation de la cause et lâorigine du sinistre. Vous devrez rĂ©diger des rapports abrĂ©gĂ©s ou dĂ©taillĂ©s lors de pertes importantes. Vous serez appelĂ© Ă tĂ©moigner en cour afin dâexposer votre opinion dâexpert.
En ce sens, une expĂ©rience en assurance et en tant quâexpert devant les tribunaux serait un atout important. Certification : Le candidat devra possĂ©der ou ĂȘtre en voie dâobtenir sa certification CFI, CFEI, CFVI ou WETT.
