SAS Software Developer

Job Title: SAS Developer Location: Birmingham - 2 days per week Salary/Rate: £402 per day inside IR35 Start Date: 15th June Job Type: Contract Company Introduction A well-established UK retail and commercial bank known for its customer-focused approach and strong ethical values. Job Responsibilities/Objectives Own end-to-end technical design across SAS Enterprise Guide (EG), SAS DI, Base SAS, and SAS Viya environments Define and implement SAS development standards, optimisation approaches, and reusable frameworks Translate Basel III / Basel 3.1 business requirements into functional and technical SAS solutions Design and deliver SAS solutions supporting RWA, EAD, capital calculations, and regulatory reporting Required Skills/Experience Strong hands‑on experience with SAS technologies including SAS EG, SAS DI, Base SAS, and SAS Viya Proven delivery experience across Basel III / Basel 3.1 regulatory programmes Strong understanding of banking risk, capital, and regulatory reporting processes Experience producing technical design documentation and leading SAS delivery teams Desirable Skills/Experience Experience with SAS cloud migration or platform modernisation programmes Exposure to multiple UK banking environments and regulatory frameworks Knowledge of SDLC, release governance, and quality management processes Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities Disclaimer Square One is acting as both an employment agency and an employment business, and is an equal opportunities recruitment business.
