Job Description
Overview This Analyst position on the International Corporate Development team within our Corporate Strategy & Business Development department focuses on broad CME Group opportunities and assists in framing, analyzing, and recommending strategic choices for the enterprise. The Analyst will support senior department staff in assessing organic, inorganic, and partnership opportunities and in developing strategic positioning to drive growth of existing business lines, expand into new markets, and achieve operational efficiencies. The role requires researching and analyzing merger & acquisition opportunities, strategic partnerships, and other commercial opportunities, and developing longâterm strategies for various business areas by compiling qualitative and quantitative information for senior management presentations.
Responsibilities Apply knowledge of key products, services, and business functions to create and maintain routine business reports, presentations, and financial analyses. Collect data and produce analytical reports to improve our business portfolio, reviewing company or industry research reports, regulatory filings, financial statements, and other sources. Analyze qualitative and quantitative information to derive risks, opportunities, strategic conclusions, and recommendations.
Assist in the analysis of potential external opportunitiesâincluding mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and commercial partnershipsâthrough data gathering and occasional financial modeling (Discounted Cash Flow, trading multiples, comparable transaction analysis). Collaborate with senior members of the Corporate Strategy & Business Development team and other departments to develop business cases supporting potential transactions, partnerships, and investment recommendations. Qualifications Bachelorâs degree with relevant coursework in finance and accounting; minimum GPA of 3.0.
Experience in financial services, corporate strategy, and/or corporate development preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or Google Workspace. Strong analytical skills; financial modeling experience helpful but not required.
Selfâstarter who can work independently, collaborate effectively within a team, and communicate with senior leaders. Occasional travel may be required. Compensation Pay range: $70,000â$116,600 per year, plus an annual target bonus opportunity and access to a broadâbased equity program.
