Job Description
Technical Director of Quality The Technical Director of Quality plays a critical role in developing and driving the strategy for quality excellence and operational performance. This leadership position requires strong ability to collaborate across crossâfunctional teams to achieve business objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Location: Onsite, Wilmington, MA.
Responsibilities Provide leadership to the quality organization, driving a proactive approach to improvements in design, manufacturing, and customer interactions. Lead monthly management reviews for the leadership team to drive continuous product improvement with crossâfunctional teams. Analyze customer returns, failureârate data, and repair data to determine root cause and CAPA, focusing on systemic improvements.
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to determine root cause and inâprocess failures. Expand and improve existing processes, creating robust methods across multiple sites. Identify and develop KPIâs to drive operational excellence, addressing issues before they reach customers.
Implement and promote a culture of quality through tools such as quality plans, process flows, FMEA, DOE. Own the Quality Management System, manage the Internal Quality System Audit Program, and conduct Quality System Management Reviews. Develop and mentor team members to support scalable growth, competitive success, breakthrough innovation, and accountability.
Qualifications Bachelorâs degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (MS or MBA preferred). 12+ years of applicable experience in quality engineering and related disciplines, or equivalent advanced degree and experience. Understanding of advanced electronic systems and component functionality. Proficient with quality improvement tools including D/PFMEA, DFX, Pokaâyoke, New Product Introduction, statistical decisionâmaking, process capability analysis, DOE, 8âD, KâT.
Knowledgeable of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001. Strong analytical, problemâsolving, and technical abilities. Experience with data analytics (Power BI) and AI for issue analysis is preferable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with customers and management, and changeâagent approach with strong teamâbuilding. Experience in the semiconductor industry and with large OEM organizations is a plus. U.S. persons only (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, etc.).
Physical Demands & Working Conditions Selfâmanagement of activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods. Requires good manual dexterity and coordination of objects at and below shoulder level, handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat. Operates in a professional office and clean room laboratory/manufacturing environment.
Regular use of a computer and other office productivity machinery. Dedication to safety and hazard mitigation. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $168,300 to $280,500 per year.
Discretionary annual bonus.
