The Work You’ll Do As a Web Development Specialist – Digital Engineering & MarTech , you’ll be at the forefront of building scalable, high-performing digital platforms that power Sovos’ global presence. This role blends deep CMS expertise with modern frontend development and marketing technology integrations, ensuring seamless, data-driven digital experiences.
Innovation & Engineering Lead development and maintenance of WordPress and Drupal platforms, including custom themes, modules, and plugins. Build modern, scalable frontend components using JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript. Architect and maintain REST APIs, webhooks, and headless/decoupled CMS solutions.
Optimize websites for performance (Core Web Vitals), SEO, and accessibility standards. Collaboration & Integration Partner with marketing, analytics, and design teams to deliver business-aligned solutions. Implement and manage analytics frameworks (GTM, GA4) and translate business requirements into tracking solutions.
Design integrations with CRM, marketing automation, and design systems. Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers. Operational Excellence Define and enforce best practices for code quality, security, and scalability.
Ensure high availability and performance of enterprise-grade websites. Maintain documentation for configuration, release, and deployment processes. What We’re Looking For CMS & Backend Expertise: 3+ years in WordPress/Drupal, strong PHP (OOP), and CMS architecture knowledge.
Frontend Skills: JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React (preferred), HTML5, CSS3, SCSS. Architecture & Integration: REST APIs, headless CMS, MySQL optimization, Git, CI/CD pipelines. Performance & Security: Core Web Vitals, caching strategies, CDN implementation, secure coding standards.
MarTech & Analytics: GTM, GA4, DataLayer, event-based tracking, Salesforce/Marketo/HubSpot integrations. Bonus Skills Experience with headless WordPress/Drupal using React or Next.js. Familiarity with A/B testing, personalization, and marketing automation workflows.
Exposure to design systems (Storybook, Chromatic). Background in enterprise-grade or high-traffic websites.
