Job Title Stationary Engineer 4 Job Number 125248 Primary Location St. Peter's Hospital Salary Hourly: $33.5525 โ $33.5525 Position Summary Under the direction of the Site Supervisor, the Stationary Engineer #4 is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, shutdown and startup, chemical treatment, operational checks and testing of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, instrumentation, plumbing, mechanical, fire alarm, computer and associated equipment controls and systems in accordance with corporate, unit and departmental goals and objectives, policies and standards. Schedule 7 days a week, rotating 2/3 weekends. Qualifications Current Province of Ontario Stationary Engineer 4th Class Certificate of Qualification Minimum of 3 years experience as a qualified tradesperson Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, repair and testing of buildings with computerized building control systems for all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, instrumentation, plumbing, mechanical, fire alarm, computer and associated equipment controls and systems Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English Demonstrated ability to use the tools and equipment of the trade; must be willing to provide own hand tools of the trade Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in areas that are cold, hot, dusty, dirty, noisy, amongst machinery, at elevated levels and in cramped quarters Ability to crawl, lift heavy items, climb and work from ladders and scaffolding Additional Requirements Proficiency in both Official Languages, French and English, is considered an asset.
