Network Engineer

Title: Network Engineer Location: Toronto, Ontario – Remote Role Summary We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with network operations, troubleshooting, and security technologies, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN connectivity. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls Configure and support VLANs, routing, and network segmentation Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability Troubleshoot connectivity and network-related issues across environments Support and maintain secure VPN connectivity for remote users and sites Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to optimize network operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications Strong experience in network troubleshooting and issue resolution Hands-on expertise with firewall administration and security policies Solid understanding of routing and switching concepts Experience using network monitoring and diagnostic tools Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking environments is a plus. Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments Strong communication and teamwork skills. Education & Experience 4–7 years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure support Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred Cisco and/or Fortinet certifications (CCNA, CCNP, NSE, etc.) are highly desirable
