Design Engineering Manager

Overview My client is seeking an experienced Navy Facilities Design Manager/SME to support a growing portfolio of projects in the Maryland region. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality facility design and construction oversight in direct support of U.S. Navy initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in federal and Navy/DoD‑related facility projects, with demonstrated expertise in building design, construction management, and adherence to applicable regulations and standards. In this position, the selected individual will provide engineering and technical leadership to design teams, ensure compliance with DoD and Navy requirements, and consistently meet client expectations across quality, schedule, and cost parameters. Required Qualifications 20+ years of experience supporting federal construction and facility design projects, with a strong emphasis on Navy or DoD programs Proven ability to oversee complex design efforts and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams Deep knowledge of DoD, Navy, and federal construction standards, codes, and regulatory requirements Preferred Skills & Experience Professional licensure or certification such as PE , PMP , or other relevant credentials Experience providing technical guidance to designers, contractors, and government stakeholders Familiarity with federal project delivery processes, design reviews, and quality assurance protocols Additional Information Hybrid (2 to 3 days onsite depending on workflow) out of Indian Head, Maryland #J-18808-Ljbffr
