Position titleStructural Engineer | Connexion design and construction (Terrebonne)DescriptionAt **DPHV**, we are looking for a **Structural Engineer** eager to put their expertise to work in **connection design**, who understands the challenges of **heavy steel fabrication**, and who is energized by the complexities of **structural erection**, including **temporary structures and lifting operations**.This employment opportunity is for our **Terrebonne** team.### Your Role on the Team* Design optimized connections for a wide range of large-scale steel structures* Support steel fabricators by providing technical assistance related to steel fabrication and sequencing of highly complex structural elements* Propose innovative solutions to reduce costs and improve structural performance* Participate in technical coordination with fabrication and construction teams* Collaborate on the design of steel erection sequences, temporary stability elements, and the sizing of lifting devices used during structural assembly### Your Profile* Strong interest in structural calculations and design* Intellectual curiosity and a desire to tackle technical challenges* Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities* Proficiency in French, both spoken and written (mandatory)* Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, as many of our clients are located in the United States### Your Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or Construction Engineering with a structural option (advanced steel courses required)* Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (an asset)* Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or in the process of obtaining membership* Experience in consulting engineering (an asset — responsibilities will be adjusted based on your profile)* Strong working knowledge of **SAP2000*** Valid **ASP** safety cardDPHV is a specialized consulting engineering firm that has been providing professional and technical expertise in structural engineering for over 30 years.
