The role involves developing sales strategies, leading a sales team, managing key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. Position Description The successful candidate will be on the field daily, building and growing strategic relationships with customers, motivating the sales team to achieve quotas, and continually improving team performance through innovative leadership.

The role requires frequent travel within the assigned territory. Essential Functions Establish and grow strong relationships with customers, including key decision‑makers and influencers. Motivate the sales team to meet sales quotas and evaluate team performance regularly, providing coaching to improve results.

Focus on sales efforts by studying existing and potential customer opportunities. Develop innovative sales strategies to increase sales within the assigned territory. Maintain an in‑depth understanding of products, customer businesses, processes, systems, and product specifications.

Attend trade shows to promote company products and services. Identify new business opportunities, preparing quality presentations for target accounts, new markets, and growth areas. Generate leads and conduct cold calls to prospective customers, meeting face‑to‑face or via phone.

Create specific target lists for daily and weekly work schedules. Consult with customers to assess current business problems and provide solution recommendations. Work with Sales Managers to utilize a consultative selling process for customer value proposition development.

Train team members on effective sales calls, presentations, and first‑impression techniques. Promptly attend to leads provided by AFP and maintain accurate documentation in the AFP CRM. Discuss promotional strategies and concepts with the marketing department.

Drive team participation in company initiatives, reinforcing policies and communicating changes assertively. Coordinate with all AFP departments as needed. Knowledge & Experience 3 to 5+ years of relevant services and solutions sales experience. 1+ year of field sales management experience.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, marketing, or a related field (preferred). Knowledge of the Food, Hospitality, Janitorial, and Sanitation business sectors (plus). Track record of applying sales and strategic business skills to exceed revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction targets.
