Warehouse Manager Full Time Chatsworth, CA, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 2117 Overview The mission of Hope the Mission (HTM) is to prevent, reduce, and eliminate poverty, hunger, and homelessness by offering immediate assistance and long-term solutions. Our mission is to meet our participants' needs through an individualized and non-judgmental approach that will ultimately lead to long-term housing stability. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Ensure warehouse floors are kept clean and free of content and debris.

Ensure proper receipt, inspection, verification, and processing of all materials into the facility. Ensure proper storage of all items in designated storage areas. Responsible for weekly inventory and supply processing/delivery turnaround times.

Creation and implementation of operational policies to improve and optimize warehousing processes with the ultimate objective of reducing turnaround times and improving overall workflow efficiency. Maintain, organize and issue inventory of approved supplies and equipment. Responsible for order processing, ensuring inbound and outbound orders get processed promptly.

Notify Operations Leadership and Procurement Department of any discrepancies of materials versus shipper’s documentation. Work collaboratively with the Procurement Department to ensure smooth supply operations and to address or resolve any supply issues that arise. Ensure maintenance team correctly utilizes all software and adheres to any associated policies (i.e.

Precoro, ADP). Work with Operations management and HR to resolve employee and labor relations issues. Forecast and report any needs of the Warehouse Team and operation to the Operations Manager or Director of Operations for purchasing.

Provide input on employee termination, compensation, and promotion decisions. Promote positive teamwork and safe working behaviors and environments. Assist with personnel needs of the Warehouse Team including coaching, disciplining, training, and evaluating employee performance.

Report all incidents and injuries to Operations Management. Provide guidance and oversight of all House of Hope volunteers that assist at the Warehouse. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledgeable in shipping and receiving. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize and organize workflow.

Able to take initiative and execute assigned tasks in a timely and flawless manner. Strong teamwork acumen with a profound ability to work under pressure. Ability to manage, coach, and direct warehouse team.

Committed to always providing excellent service. Follows all safety policies and procedures. Strong analytical abilities, creative thinking and problem-solving on an organization-wide basis.

Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to coordinate multiple projects/tasks simultaneously within tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities. Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills to review information and ensure accuracy. Ability to work with diverse populations.

Highly collaborative within a team environment. Other Requirements Valid Class C Driver’s License. Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.

Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as boxes and reach overhead. Daily lift and/or move to 75 pounds. This position requires travel to multiple locations.

Employee is required to: walk and climb stairs; stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis; grasp, push, and pull objects such as boxes and packages, and reach overhead; handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment; reach with hands and arms; lift up to 50 lbs; communicate, receive, and exchange ideas, information by means of the spoken and written word; be mobile by moving oneself from place to place quickly and easily; repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers; be able to have visual activity for moving boxes; drive vehicle in and around Los Angeles County; be able to enter various buildings that may require climbing stairs. Employee may also be subject to outside environmental conditions, work in proximity with service animals and emotional support animals, and use a pallet jack.

Complete all required forms in personal writing. The employee may be in contact with individuals and families in crisis who may be ill, using alcohol and drugs, and who may not be attentive to basic personal hygiene. The employee must be ready to respond quickly and effectively to many types of situations, including crisis situations and potentially hostile situations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate in an office setting. Sometimes work may become stressful when working under pressure.
