Senior Principal Emulation Design Verification Engineer Ampere is a semiconductor design company focused on high‑performance, energy‑efficient AI compute CPUs. About the Role As a Senior Principal Emulation Design Verification Engineer, you will lead SoC design emulation verification for server‑class AI cloud‑native processors, delivering high‑quality, next‑gen solutions.

You will spearhead system‑level verification, develop test content in C/C++, Python, and SystemVerilog, build peripheral endpoint models, debug complex RTL issues, and collaborate with architecture teams. Responsibilities Drive system‑level SoC verification using emulation in bare‑metal and firmware/software environments. Develop and enable a wide range of test content for SOC verification using C/C++, Python, SystemVerilog.

Develop endpoint models for various peripherals. Collaborate with architecture and design teams to debug failures using advanced debugging techniques. Work across internal groups and international teams to share knowledge, tackle solutions, and shape product quality.

Mentor and guide junior engineers. Qualifications 8+ years of proven experience leading and optimizing SoC emulation‑based verification processes. Expert‑level proficiency in debugging complex RTL issues.

Highly skilled in developing comprehensive and effective test cases. Advanced proficiency in C/C++ and Python for robust development. Practical experience in endpoint modeling.

Solid understanding of ARM and/or x86 architecture principles. Additional skills highly desired: prior knowledge of PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, HBM, CXL, AMBA (AXI/CHI), FPGA prototyping, System C, testbench development. Education BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 8 years of related experience; MS degree with 6 years.

What we’ll offer Competitive total rewards package including base pay, long‑term incentive, and comprehensive benefits. Base pay range is $225,500–$338,500 ($237,000–$356,000 for San Francisco Bay Area).
