WHAT WE'RE DOING Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Valley Forge, PA for a hardware engineer, supporting RMS EMC2 programs. THE WORK Analyzing customer requirements (power, cooling, environment, storage, and transportation). Develop Bills of Material, generate COTS modification and assembly drawings.
Coordinate material purchases with procurement department and approve vendor quotes. Support hardware assembly tasks. Coordinate with vendors to repair or replace defective or damaged equipment, identify and document modifications.
Coordinate and support equipment installation at test and customer facilities and provide customer support to help them resolve problems. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related discipline from an accredited university. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships. Must be able to work well in a team environment.
Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. Desired Skills EPDM/PLM Experience.
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Background. Hardware Design. Creo.
Hands‑on equipment assembly and installation. Experience with agile processes and implementation. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Able to work independently. Security Clearance: Secret. This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S.
Citizen. Remote Work and Schedule Part‑time remote telework: The employee will work part of their schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. The standard schedule is 40 hours over a five‑day work week, with some employees on condensed schedules. Schedule for this position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
