Reliability Engineer

Industrial Reliability Engineer – Metals Manufacturer Decades-old US metals manufacturer looking for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team. Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 per year. Job Details We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability and robustness of our manufacturing processes and products.

This role will play a crucial part in analyzing manufacturing system performance, identifying issues, and implementing improvements in a fast‑paced, high‑technology environment. Responsibilities Conduct detailed failure analysis and root cause analysis on failed components using statistical tools and methodologies. Develop and implement Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure modes, their causes, and effects on manufacturing system performance.

Propose and implement process improvements to enhance product reliability and reduce manufacturing defects. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure manufacturing processes meet required reliability standards.

Develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures to ensure the reliability of manufacturing equipment. Use AutoCAD to design, test, and validate manufacturing processes and equipment. Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on reliability engineering principles and practices.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability engineering within the metals manufacturing industry. Proficient in root cause analysis, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and process improvement methodologies.

Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices. Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software. Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.

Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is a plus. Benefits Competitive salary, $95,000 - $120,000 per year. Excellent benefits package.
