Job Description
Position Summary : We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve core components of iModel Cloud Sync Services. This role focuses on developing reliable, scalable cloud services that ingest, transform, and synchronize engineering data from diverse sources into the iTwin platform. As a Senior Engineer, you will work handsâon with distributed systems and cloudânative technologies, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver robust, productionâgrade solutions.
Responsibilities: Software Design & Development ETL Services: Design cloud-native services to transform engineering data into iModels. Architecture: Build event-driven, containerized microservices for global scale. Orchestration: Develop state-driven workflows for long-running tasks and retries.
Cloud Platform & Distributed Systems Infrastructure: Deploy via Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD with zero-downtime. Patterns: Implement concurrency control, idempotency, and conflict resolution. Observability: Maintain structured logging, metrics, and alerting.
Data & ETL Workflows Pipelines: Build fault-tolerant pipelines for data validation and mapping. Schema Power: Manage schema versioning and ensure transactional consistency. Reliability & Operational Excellence Resilience: Apply circuit breakers, rate limiting, and backoff strategies.
Quality: Lead code reviews and root-cause analysis for production issues. Collaboration & Technical Growth Strategy: Partner with architects on high-level design decisions. Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and define shared engineering standards Qualifications: 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering with with proficiency in .Net, C# and exposure to distributed or cloudâbased systems.
Strong experience with Azure, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes. Handsâon experience building ETL pipelines, workflowâbased systems, or eventâdriven architectures. Proficiency in .Net and C#.
Solid understanding of observability, CI/CD, reliability, and cloud operations. Strong problemâsolving skills and the ability to deliver productionâquality software. Experience working with largeâscale engineering or infrastructure data.
Familiarity with schema evolution, metadataâdriven pipelines, or data governance. Exposure to graph databases or timeâseries data systems. Experience collaborating across teams in a complex, platformâoriented environment.
