General Manager/Beverage Program Manager job at 82 Acres. Portland, OR. This is as much a service and floor management position as it is administrative one.

General Manager - 82 Acres Southeast Portland 82 Acres is a farm-driven restaurant located in the heart of SE Portland, dedicated to honest cooking, warm hospitality, and deep connections between farm and table. We are seeking a General Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and help guide the restaurant through its next chapter of growth. About the Role: The GM balances day-to-day operations with long-term vision.

You'll collaborate closely with ownership, the chef team, and our farm crew to create exceptional guest experiences that reflect the beauty and bounty of the restaurant, and that of our sister property Abbey Road Farm. Key Responsibilities: Lead all front-of-house operations with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. Manage and develop the beverage program, including cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic offerings.

Partner with the kitchen and ownership teams on menu design and upkeep. Oversee hiring, training, and HR duties, building a motivated and cohesive team. Handle scheduling, payroll, and light bookkeeping tasks.

Manage the POS system, ensuring accurate pricing, reporting, and smooth daily operations. Oversee ordering, vendor relations, and inventory for FOH and beverage. Plan and execute special events, wine dinners, and collaborations in coordination with the chef team and farm.

Maintain open communication between ownership, culinary, and farm teams to ensure alignment across all aspects of service. Ideal Candidate: Experienced in restaurant management with a strong understanding of both service and systems. Passionate about hospitality, local food, and seasonal ingredients.

Skilled communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment. Organized, proactive, and comfortable wearing many hats. Knowledge of beverage programs, event coordination, and small business operations a plus.
