DevOps Engineer

Job Description DevOps Engineer – Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (100% on-site). Key Duties CI/CD Pipeline Management: Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (Groovy) and Bash scripts. Ensure seamless integration and deployment processes on a managed Jenkins platform.

Microservices Architecture: Design, implement, and manage microservices architecture. Support blue‑green deployments and multi‑region setups to ensure high availability and reliability. Observability and Monitoring: Enhance system observability by implementing monitoring and logging solutions.

Ensure health and performance of applications and infrastructure. Database Management: Manage and optimize RDS instances for performance and reliability. Implement backup and recovery strategies for databases.

Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain Bash/shell scripts to automate routine tasks and processes. Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation into the development lifecycle. Code Review: Review and understand code structures in Java and Python.

Provide feedback and support to development teams. Job Requirements 5+ years experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, and blue‑green deployments. 5+ years experience managing Jenkins platform, enhancing observability, and managing RDS instances. 5+ years experience in Bash/shell scripting and ability to understand code structures in Java and Python.
