Lead agile planning and delivery practices, including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Use AI-enabled tools and data-informed analysis to improve planning, code review, testing, or workflow efficiency, and help the team apply these tools responsibly in day-to-day engineering work. Additional Job Responsibilities: Contribute to release planning and production readiness activities. Support incident response and problem resolution when production issues arise.

Participate in hiring, interviewing, and team staffing discussions. Evaluate opportunities to automate repetitive engineering or operational tasks. Provide input on platform improvements and technical debt reduction.

Share knowledge and best practices across engineering teams. Support special projects and initiatives as needed. Expected Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 10–15 years of experience leading engineering teams in a technical environment.

Familiarity with DevOps and delivery tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Groovy, Docker, Perforce, and Git preferred. Experience with REST APIs, distributed systems, and relational database technologies.

Knowledge of data warehousing or analytics tools such as Snowflake is a plus. About athenahealth Our vision: In an industry that becomes more complex by the day, we stand for simplicity.
