You enjoy working with data, solving problems, and collaborating with others. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a database, database analytics; or system analysis role, or an equivalent combination of experience. Strong technical proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, SQL Server, XML, Microsoft Access, VBA, and Excel, with demonstrated experience designing and maintaining automated data solutions. Solid understanding of database structures, data relationships, and data management best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to clearly document processes and explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Basic understanding of banking system processes, such as mortgage and deposit related transactions and interest calculation. Responsibilities The Opportunity As a System & Database Analyst, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing solutions that automate processes and improve the efficiency and accuracy of finance functions. You will also contribute to development and implementation of systems that streamline, centralize, and automate management and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities Develop a deep understanding of the business processes and existing data structures to effectively support organizational needs. Maintain knowledge of multiple data sources and the relationships between them. Design, develop, and maintain automated processes using tools such as Power BI, Power Query, SQL Server, XML, Microsoft Access, VBA, and Excel to improve efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.
Collaborate with peers to plan, prioritize, and test enhancements to the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Gather and analyze functional and data requirements to understand business needs. Translate these requirements into effective technical solutions, including developing new systems or enhancing existing ones for business process improvements, regulatory reporting, management reporting, data analysis, and ad hoc requests.
Test solutions throughout development, identify issues, and implement appropriate fixes to ensure reliability and performance. Provide training, support and guidance to end users, including demonstrating system functionality, answering questions, and offering ongoing assistance as needed. Continuously improve solutions by incorporating user feedback, performing regular reviews, and enhancing system integrity and usability.
Create and maintain clear process documentation and department procedures. Compensation & Benefits This is a permanent full-time position and is rated a Salary Level P2 with a salary range. $72,115 - $84,842. LSM offers a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to participate in the Performance Sharing Incentive Plan.
