Job Description Your goal will be to ensure that the site manufacturing & support activities run without interruption, without any facilities shortages, and any issues thereof. You will achieve 100% compliance with local legal regulations, quality, health, safety & environmental management systems and standards. You are responsible for the management and maintenance of site facilities, buildings, and equipment (hardware & software).
How You Will Contribute Work cross‑functionally to develop and implement a strategic facilities road‑map and annual operating plan that provides a competitive advantage. Partner with internal & external stakeholders and service providers to define and meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and engagement goals. Establish strong governance to review & control operational performance and continuous improvement plans to deliver best‑in‑class results internally and externally.
Lead and be accountable for the Building Maintenance program, facilities maintenance program capabilities, including maintenance repairs & overall operations. Ensure adherence to the business continuity plan, manufacturing standards and government regulations that are understood by all employees and service providers, regularly reviewed and monitored for effective implementation. Provide leadership and coaching to the Facilities team to implement integrated Lean 6‑sigma methods: delivering zero breakdowns via preventive/predictive maintenance strategies and technical mastery of maintenance and operational teams; PM (Progressive Maintenance) pillar, CBM (condition‑based monitoring), visual controls & tools management, lubrication management & calibration of equipment.
Role model company values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring, and skill building within the plant engineering team. Create a clear people succession and resource plan for the asset and technology population, identifying and implementing critical levers to attract, retain, and develop talent. Interface with key internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain effective relationships, align priorities, and deliver company objectives and goals.
What You Will Bring Strong operational and manufacturing leadership experience in the CPG industry with TPM‑Total Productive Maintenance, 5S, LEAN, Six Sigma tools and concepts, safety, and GMP standards. An engineer with strong financial and business acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment, progressive maintenance expertise, spare parts management, SAP PM module end‑user knowledge, and basic technology & engineering automation. Excellent verbal and written communication, coaching, and leadership skills in a team‑based environment.
Demonstrated analytics, problem‑solving, and team‑building abilities. More About This Role Equipment Maintenance and Reliability: A fundamental aspect of the role is ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of equipment and machinery within the facility. This involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies, conducting reliability analyses, and optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): The reliability engineer should be adept at conducting RCA to identify underlying factors contributing to equipment failures or performance issues. By determining root causes, they can implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve overall reliability. Predictive Maintenance Technologies: Familiarity with techniques such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, and ultrasonic testing is essential.
These technologies enable proactive monitoring of equipment health, allowing timely intervention before failures occur. Data Analysis and Decision‑Making: The reliability engineer relies on data‑driven decision‑making to prioritize maintenance tasks, optimize resource allocation, and improve equipment reliability. Proficiency in data‑analysis tools and techniques is critical for interpreting maintenance data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions.
Continuous Improvement Culture: Successful maintenance reliability programs embrace a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging employees to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation. The reliability engineer plays a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, fostering collaboration, and implementing best practices to enhance reliability and efficiency. Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly in safety‑critical environments, must be ensured.
The engineer should stay updated on relevant regulations and safety protocols to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Collaboration with operations, engineering, quality assurance, and procurement is essential for success. The reliability engineer must communicate and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to address reliability issues, implement strategies, and support organizational goals.
Training and Development: Ongoing training and development for emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices is crucial. The reliability engineer should seek opportunities for professional development, such as training programs, conferences, and certifications. Performance Metrics and KPIs: The reliability engineer must monitor and report on key performance indicators related to equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and overall asset performance.
Establishing meaningful metrics helps track progress, identify improvement areas, and demonstrate the impact of initiatives. What Extra Ingredients You Will Bring Candidates should have a strong understanding of reliability engineering principles, including reliability analysis, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis (RCA), and predictive maintenance techniques. Proficiency with maintenance management software, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and reliability software tools is a plus.
Education / Certifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial). Job Specific Requirements SAP PM module experience is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word).
Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or a related field. Travel Requirements No travel required. Work Schedule 1st shift, 6:45 am – 2:45 pm or daily (08:00 am – 04:00 pm /07:00 am – 03:00 pm).
Salary and Benefits The base salary range is $77,600 to $106,700, depending on experience, skills, education, and location. The position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program based on performance and company results. Additional benefits include health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education‑related programs, paid holidays, and vacation time.
