At Allianze Infosoft , we are expanding our Electrical Engineering & Engineering Outsourcing Division and are looking for an experienced and dynamic Procurement Manager who is passionate about strategic sourcing, vendor management, and global engineering operations. About the Role The role involves leading strategic procurement initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient procurement operations to support business growth objectives. Responsibilities Strategic Procurement Leadership Develop and execute Magellan’s procurement strategy aligned with business growth objectives Build scalable procurement systems and processes suitable for a rapidly expanding manufacturing organisation Develop sourcing strategies for electronics, power systems, battery systems, sheet metal, electrical components, and industrial equipment Lead procurement planning for long-lead and critical components Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies Support localisation and dual-sourcing initiatives where commercially appropriate Supplier Management & Global Sourcing Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage suppliers globally Develop strong relationships with strategic suppliers and manufacturers Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, warranties, and supply agreements Establish supplier performance measurement systems and scorecards Identify and qualify alternative suppliers for critical components Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews Work closely with suppliers to improve quality, reliability, and responsiveness Procurement Operations Manage procurement activities for production, engineering, service, and projects Ensure timely purchasing of all materials required for manufacturing and operations Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively manage shortages Oversee purchase order management and procurement workflows Coordinate with logistics providers and freight forwarders Monitor and manage procurement costs and budget performance Ensure procurement documentation and records are accurate and maintained Inventory & Materials Management Develop inventory optimisation strategies Reduce excess stock while maintaining supply continuity Improve inventory accuracy and visibility Establish safety stock policies for critical components Monitor inventory turns and working capital performance Develop forecasting and demand planning processes Engineering & Manufacturing Collaboration Work closely with engineering to standardise components and reduce procurement complexity Participate in engineering design reviews from a procurement perspective Assist engineering teams in component selection and sourcing strategies Ensure BOM accuracy and procurement readiness before product release Support production scheduling and manufacturing priorities Systems, Process & Continuous Improvement Drive procurement digitisation and system improvements Support ERP/MRP implementation and optimisation Develop procurement KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems Improve procurement workflows and operational discipline Introduce best practice procurement procedures and controls Support ISO quality systems and documentation requirements Team Leadership Lead and manage overseas and Perth-based procurement staff and support personnel Develop procurement team capability and performance Establish clear KPIs and accountability structures Promote professionalism, discipline, responsiveness, and customer focus within the procurement team Support cross-functional collaboration between procurement, engineering, stores, production, QA, and finance Other Responsibilities and/or Accountabilities Adhere to the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) policies & procedures Support the Leadership Team by presenting information relating to the performance of the operations under your control to ensure effective monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation (MMAE) of the organisations IMS Actively participate in development and maintenance of the company’s IMS Take a communicative and proactive role to implement, review, measure IMS performance within your area of responsibility Suggest improvements and be active in the general improvement of all systems and methods of work to ensure the company supports activities and services that are carried out in a reliable and cost-effective manner Encourage the reporting of all known hazards and incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner as per company procedure Qualifications At least 10 years’ procurement experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Minimum 5 years in a senior procurement leadership role Experience in one or more of the following industries: Power electronics UPS systems Electrical manufacturing Battery systems Industrial automation Telecommunications equipment Automotive electronics Renewable energy systems Strong global sourcing and supplier negotiation experience Strong ERP/MRP systems experience Experience managing procurement teams remotely Strong understanding of supply chain risk management Excellent commercial and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
