Design Engineering Manager

Job Title: Dy. Manager / Manager - Design & Engineering Location: Kolkata About the Role: We are looking for a Design & Engineering Lead to handle technical design, simulation and optimization of CNI solar projects in India. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed engineering designs for CNI projects: rooftop, ground-mounted, carport and open access plants.

Conduct site assessments, shade analysis and load profiling for Indian C&I clients. Perform energy yield simulations using PVsyst, Helioscope and SketchUp. Prepare SLD, BOM, plant layouts and AC/DC cable sizing as per Indian electrical standards (IE Rules).

Select modules, inverters, mounting structures and BIS-certified BOS components. Ensure designs comply with ALMM (for modules) and MNRE quality benchmarks. Coordinate with EPC and BD teams for techno-commercial proposals and bids.

Qualifications & Experience: B. Tech in Electrical Engineering (Power/Energy preferred). 5–8 years of solar PV design experience, with at least 3 years in Indian CNI/C&I projects. Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD Electrical, Helioscope and Google SketchUp.

Knowledge of string sizing, ILR (inverter loading ratio), voltage drop and earthing design. Familiarity with state-specific net metering/gross metering/open access technical requirements.
