About the role: The Senior Engineer is responsible for driving largeâscale projects, delivering impactful features, and maintaining high engineering standards. Youâll solve complex problems, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior engineers while continuously improving our codebases and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
With deep expertise in modern software development and Agile practices, youâll shape how we build, scale, and innovateâdirectly influencing product velocity and engineering culture. What youâll do: Scope, plan, and lead delivery of largeâscale features and roadmap initiatives. Clarify and refine requirements across stakeholders in a fastâmoving environment.
Navigate ambiguous requirements and competing interests to deliver features that delight users. Contribute to longâterm architectural planning and system design. Technical / Execution Lead technical problemâsolving for complex, crossâteam challenges and production issues.
Continuously improve the codebase by upholding high standards for code reviews, architecture, testing, and deployment. Ensure scalable and maintainable solutions across both frontend and backend systems. Act as the goâto expert for debugging, troubleshooting, and system reliability.
Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to align on priorities and delivery. Clearly communicate technical and nonâtechnical concepts across the organization. Participate actively in meetings, providing input that drives clarity and shared understanding.
Partner with crossâfunctional stakeholders to ensure features meet user and business needs. Leadership Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching, pairing, and feedback. Champion engineering best practices, raising the bar for technical excellence across the team.
Model emotional intelligence and resilience, building trust and inspiring growth in others. Research / Best practices Stay current on emerging technologies, frameworks, and architectures. Promote Agile best practices and contribute to evolving team workflows (Scrum/Kanban).
Share insights on industry trends and competitor approaches to inform product and engineering strategy. What success looks like: Successful delivery of complex, highâimpact features that advance business goals. Improved stability, scalability, and maintainability of the codebase.

What you bring: 7â10 years of progressive software engineering experience (leadership required) In-depth knowledge of modern software development practices and architectures. Strong track record of scoping, delivering, and evolving largeâscale features. Experience with both frontend and backend technologies (polyglot mindset preferred).
Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and project delivery. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for all audiences. Strategic problemâsolving ability with adaptability in fastâchanging environments.

Our approach to compensation: We take a marketâbased & dataâdriven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted thirdâparty compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope.
We evaluate compensation biâannually, including performance and marketârelated factors. Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.
To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted. Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.
Salary range: $145,000 â $165,000 USD #LI-Hybrid Where we work: We have offices in Boston, MA; Vancouver, BC; Chicago, IL; and Vancouver, WA. For select positions, we are open to hiring fully remote candidates. We post our positions in the location(s) where we are open to having the successful candidate be located.
