• Hybrid (Reno, NV - 3 days in office / 2 days flex)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Engineer specializing in land development and site infrastructure. In this role, you will manage your own engineering projects from initial concept through design without direct personnel management duties.

This position offers maximum flexibility: candidates based in Denver, CO, or Las Vegas, NV can work 100% remotely, while candidates in the Reno/Northern Nevada area will enjoy a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).

Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Lead technical design for land development and site infrastructure projects, maintaining complete individual ownership of project deliverables and timelines.
• Underground & Site Infrastructure: Design detailed plans, profiles, and calculations for stormwater management systems, site grading, roadways, and underground wet/dry utilities (water, sewer, storm main alignment).
• CAD Modeling: Leverage AutoCAD Civil 3D to create 3D surface models, grading plans, utility alignment layouts, and construction design packages.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with project leadership and municipal staff to ensure design compliance with local regulations and land-use permitting requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience: 2-10 years of hands-on experience in land development, site design, underground utilities, stormwater management, or roadway alignment design.
• Software: Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Licensure:EIT or unlicensed candidates are welcome to apply (PE license is not required).
• Key Skills: Strong self-management, analytical skills, and clear communication. Ability to run individual projects efficiently from start to finish.
