2nd & 3rd Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeships – Brisbane


Already completing your Light Vehicle Mechanical apprenticeship and looking for a new opportunity to continue your trade?


Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking motivated 2nd and 3rd Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentices to join an established automotive workshop in Brisbane, QLD.


This is a great opportunity to continue your apprenticeship in a professional workshop environment, working alongside qualified technicians while building on the skills and experience you've already developed.


Your previous apprenticeship experience and completed training can be recognised, allowing you to continue progressing towards your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology without starting again.

What You'll Be Doing


Working alongside qualified technicians, you'll continue developing your practical skills across:



  • Vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance.


  • Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.


  • Using modern diagnostic equipment and workshop technology.


  • Brake, steering and suspension maintenance and repairs.


  • Engine and mechanical component repairs.


  • Removing and replacing worn or damaged components.


  • Vehicle inspections, testing and safety checks.


  • Reading and following manufacturer specifications and repair procedures.


  • Safe and correct use of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.


  • Maintaining professional workshop and safety standards.



As you progress through your apprenticeship, you'll continue taking on more complex tasks and greater responsibility under the guidance of qualified technicians.


Who We're Looking For


We're looking for apprentices who are committed to completing their qualification and continuing to develop their automotive skills.


You’ll ideally have:



  • Current enrolment in a Light Vehicle Mechanical apprenticeship at a 2nd or 3rd Year level.


  • A genuine passion for cars and the automotive industry.


  • Previous hands‑on experience gained through your apprenticeship.


  • A strong work ethic and willingness to continue learning.


  • Reliability and punctuality.


  • Good attention to detail.


  • The ability to listen, take direction and apply feedback.


  • The ability to work effectively as part of a workshop team.


  • A current driver's licence (P1 or above preferred).


  • The ability to reliably travel to work within Brisbane, QLD.



Already Started Your Apprenticeship?


If you’re currently completing your Light Vehicle Mechanical apprenticeship and looking for a change, you don’t need to start again.


Your previous employment, completed training and apprenticeship progress can be reviewed and recognised so you can continue working towards becoming a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.


Eligibility


Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents and currently completing a Light Vehicle Mechanical apprenticeship to be considered for this opportunity.
