Job Description
1. JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will join the accounting department, providing administrative, accounting and financial support to the plant’s accounting manager. Duties will include posting and issuing invoices, assisting with the monthly close and carrying out other finance-related activities assigned directly by their managers or indirectly by the Group’s headquarters.
2. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties
Record and post transactions in accordance with applicable legislation, accounting standards and the Group’s internal procedures and requirements, including purchase invoices and provisions / accruals and their settlement, and monitor these items.
Issue customer invoices and carry out the related processing and accounting entries.
Manage and file incoming and outgoing invoices.
Prepare the necessary accounting documentation and supporting records.
Work with other departments to update customer and supplier databases as required.
Enter and manage payment data in the electronic banking system and transfer it to the accounting system where applicable.
Liaise with customers and suppliers on day-to-day transactions and matters, including payment follow-up and invoice queries.
Reconcile and confirm customer and supplier balances. Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Assist in preparing the information required for monthly financial closes, activity reports and cash flow forecasts. Update information on the actual cash position.
Assist in preparing financial and statistical reports, supporting the accounting managers.
Assist with checking and closing inventory records. Experience in this area is desirable.
Perform other duties related to the position as assigned by their direct and indirect managers.
Authority and scope of action
Maintain direct contact and communicate with customers within the scope of their responsibilities.
Access the company’s IT systems to the extent necessary to perform their duties effectively.
Carry out the actions and administrative procedures necessary to fulfil their responsibilities properly.
EDUCATION
A university degree or other higher education qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
KNOWLEDGE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of accounting regulations and principles, as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), is desirable.
A meticulous approach and attention to detail.
Organisational and planning skills.
Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be an advantage.
Very good analytical skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work independently, with responsibility and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Motivation to develop professionally and expand their knowledge.
English proficiency at B2 level is desirable.
Polish proficiency at a minimum level of C1.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
Professional experience in industrial or manufacturing companies, particularly foreign-owned companies, would be an advantage.
