SAP Senior Business Analyst (FICO - Integration) - Zurich Insurance Group

Overview

In this role, you will lead requirements gathering for integrations within SAP FICO, aligning finance processes with the Global Finance Core Platform. You’ll design and document API interfaces (OData-focused) to enable SAP–external system integration, and translate business needs into technical solutions. Working with developers and architects, you will ensure compliant design, data security, and clear documentation, while mentoring peers and shaping end-to-end solutions across multiple workstreams.

• Lead requirements gathering for integrations and data exchange
• Align finance processes with Global Finance Core Platform and business goals
• Design and document API interfaces (OData) for SAP–external system integration
• Define project scope and create functional specifications for integration scenarios
• Prepare SDLC-compliant Systems Design documents and ensure traceability
• Demonstrate knowledge of integration patterns and middleware in SAP/non-SAP ecosystems
• Collaborate with developers and architects to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Document new/modified integration solutions for maintainability
• Support and execute testing, implementation, and training activities
• Conduct quality reviews on change requests and project deliverables
• Provide expert consultancy to Finance on SAP FICO and integration capabilities
• Ensure data security, compliance, and customer-centric designs
• Prioritize work across capabilities with business stakeholders
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing
• Model and re-engineer business processes to optimize flows
• Contribute to end-to-end solution design across workstreams
• Shape the business case with the business and advise on solutions
• Collaborate with domain experts and participate in diverse technology areas

• 3–6 years of business analysis experience with independence
• BAEP or equivalent qualification
• 4–5 years of hands-on SAP FICO and interface/integration design experience
• Proven experience in OData API design, ETL, and data integration
• University degree in Information Technology, Business, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong SAP FICO (ECC 6.0) knowledge and familiarity with SAP S/4HANA
• Experience with SAP Cloud Integration, RESTful APIs, and middleware/cloud integration platforms
• Experience with SAP/Non-SAP interfacing and orchestration architecture
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical, problem-solving abilities and ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Comfort in ambiguous environments and capability to shape early-stage solutions
