HC Truck Driver

Dansa Transport PTY LTD is seeking a HC Truck Driver to join our team on a Casual Position. This role is based in Prospect, NSW 2148 and offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic road transport operation. As an HC Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy combination vehicles, ensuring on-time delivery of goods, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism whilst representing our company on the road travelling through regional centres across NSW and the ACT.

Key responsibilities

Operate heavy combination vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with all road transport regulations and company policies

Follow planned routes and manage delivery schedules to ensure goods are transported on time and in excellent condition

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements

Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery documentation and compliance records as required by transport legislation

Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any operational challenges

Adhere to all fatigue management regulations and safe driving practices at all times

Load and unload cargo safely where required, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution

Maintain a professional demeanour with customers and uphold the reputation of Dansa Transport PTY LTD

Manoeuvre in tight loading docks and retail delivery environments

Conduct thorough pre-start vehicle inspections

About you

Open to being flexible with hours, weekend work may be required on occasion

Valid Heavy Combination (HC) Driver Licence with a good driving record

Demonstrated experience operating heavy combination vehicles in commercial road transport

Strong knowledge of fatigue management regulations and safe driving practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

High level of professionalism and reliability, with a commitment to punctuality and customer service

Ability to conduct basic vehicle maintenance checks and report issues accurately

Current First Aid and CPR certification (desirable but not essential)

Flexibility to work variable hours as required for part-time operations

Adherence to NHVR regulations and Chain of Responsibility (COR) obligations
