PQE: 1-3 years post-qualification

Qualification: ACA / ACCA / CIMA (Big 4 or Top 10 trained preferred)

The Role

A great opportunity for a newly qualified accountant, trained in a top 10 practice, to make the move into industry. This role suits someone who wants to build on their audit or practice grounding and take on broader commercial exposure in a fast-paced finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Assist with month-end close, journals, accruals and prepayments
• Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation and compliance (VAT, Revenue filings, CSO returns)
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis
• Contribute to process improvement and systems/automation initiatives
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to senior finance stakeholders

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1-3 years PQE
• Trained in a top 10 accounting firm (audit or practice background)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) an advantage
• Strong communicator, comfortable liaising across departments
• Commercially curious, keen to transition from practice into industry
• Self-starter with ability to manage competing deadlines
