About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and reflective Elementary School Teacher to join the International School of Curitiba as a temporary maternity leave substitute.In this role, you will support the continuity of learning and student wellbeing by creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and purposeful classroom environment.Working collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues, you will contribute to a learning experience grounded in ISC's commitment to Modern Learning, our Mission Everyone Learning Everywhere, and our Vision Teaching for the Future.This is an opportunity to join a collaborative international school community and make a meaningful contribution to students' learning, growth, and sense of belonging during the teacher's leave period.

Key Responsibilities & Contributions
- Plan and facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with curriculum expectations and ISC's Modern Learning approach.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where students feel valued, connected, and supported.
- Differentiate learning intentionally in response to students' individual strengths, needs, interests, and learning profiles.
- Use assessment and relevant learning data to inform planning, instruction, and student support.
- Provide timely, specific, and actionable feedback that supports student growth and learning.
- Foster student agency, independence, collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, and resilience.
- Establish clear classroom routines and expectations that promote positive learning behaviors and student responsibility.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students and demonstrate genuine care for their individual needs and development.
- Communicate proactively with families regarding student learning, progress, wellbeing, and next steps.
- Collaborate with grade-level colleagues, specialists, support staff, and school leadership to support a coherent learning experience for students.
- Participate in professional learning and reflect on teaching practice to support continuous improvement.
- Contribute positively to the wider ISC community and uphold the school's commitment to Teaching for the Future.
Requisitos e qualificações
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Pedagogy, or a related teaching qualification.
- Valid teaching qualification/licensure.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Previous experience teaching elementary-aged students.
- Ability to design and facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and respond to diverse student learning needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environments.
