Your Role

Are you an undergraduate accounting student looking for more than just a part-time job?

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Undergraduate Accountant to join our team and build practical accounting experience while completing your studies.

This role is designed for someone who is keen to learn, asks questions and wants to develop their technical skills in a supportive professional environment. You will work closely with experienced accountants, managers and directors who are committed to sharing their knowledge, providing guidance and helping you develop the skills needed to progress your accounting career.

We are happy to consider part-time hours that work around your university commitments, making this an ideal opportunity to gain valuable industry experience while completing your degree.

You will gain exposure to a broad range of accounting and tax processes, including:

Assisting with the preparation of taxation and compliance matters

Preparing and maintaining accounting workpapers

Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and supporting tax documentation

Maintaining client records and workflow information, including organising and preparing relevant documentation and source records

Providing general support to the Accounting Manager and broader accounting team, including research and information-gathering as required

You won't be expected to know everything from day one. You will have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals who will guide and support you as you build your skills and confidence, while gaining practical exposure to a broad range of accounting work, challenging processes, different types of clients and real-world accounting issues.

Your Skills and Attributes

We want to hear from people who have:

Currently studying a degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business, or are close to graduating

A genuine interest in developing a career in accounting

A willingness to learn, ask questions and take on new challenges

Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively

Previous accounting experience is helpful but not essential. We are particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn.
