Join the SWSLHD Mental Health Nurse Bank and gain valuable experience across different inpatient mental health specialties within the district. As a permanent full-time or part-time nurse, you will have the opportunity to be seconded to various inpatient units, contribute to improved clinical safety through a stable and well-orientated workforce, fill roles covering long-term leave, maternity leave, or higher-grade duties, and receive the same leave entitlements and performance development support as regular employees.

Selection Criteria

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Can you tell us about your mental health inpatient nursing experience, including the clinical settings and consumer groups you have worked with? What skills and experience would you bring to the Mental Health Nurse Bank?
  • As a Nurse Bank RN, you may be required to work across different inpatient mental health units, sometimes with short notice. Howwould you approach working safely and effectively in a unit that is unfamiliar to you?
