The Role

As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting customers and installation partners throughout Ireland, ensuring heat pump systems are installed and commissioned correctly and operate to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Commissioning domestic air-to-water and air-to-air heat pump systems.
  • Carrying out retrofits, refurbishments and technical inspections.
  • Providing first-line technical support to installers, contractors and customers.
  • Visiting sites to investigate installation and performance issues.
  • Diagnosing faults and providing effective technical solutions.
  • Delivering technical and product training to installers and contractors.
  • Supporting and developing an installer network through technical guidance and regular site visits.
  • Producing technical reports, commissioning documentation and recommendations.
  • Working closely with management and manufacturing teams to resolve product and installation challenges.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and helping drive installation and service quality across the network.

About You

We're looking for a time-served tradesperson with 4โ€“5 years' post-qualification experience and hands-on experience working with domestic heat pumps.

We're particularly interested in candidates from either a Refrigeration or Plumbing background:

  • Time-served Refrigeration Tradesperson with 4โ€“5 years' experience.
  • Hands-on domestic heat pump experience, including installation and fault-finding.
  • Good understanding of water-side systems and associated components.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

OR

  • Time-served Plumbing Tradesperson with 4โ€“5 years' experience.
  • Hands-on domestic heat pump experience, including installation and fault-finding.
  • Good understanding of heating and water-side systems.
  • F-Gas certification would be advantageous.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

For either background, you'll need to be confident working independently, communicating with installers and customers, and explaining technical information clearly.

A proactive, solution-focused approach is essential, along with the ability to travel throughout Ireland as required.
